Bio For the past few years, I have worked as a communications assistant with Huu-ay-aht First Nations, assisting in developing and producing communication methods, such as emails, social media posts, press releases, and annual reports. Before this, I worked with local Vancouver Island companies to promote their products and train the community with high-quality videos; I filmed entertaining and artful music videos for musicians and produced and filmed a show for Shaw Spotlight. I have communicated with the public for many years, highlighting topics they need to know. I have developed various skills that can help me with anything that comes my way. EXPERIENCE Huu-ay-aht First Nations — Communication Assistant March 2023 – Current Creating content for social media to keep the community updated, creating biweekly and bimonthly newsletters, creating annual reports, making surveys for citizens, and answering questions regarding events and treaty/self-governing concerns. Skate Canada —Camera and Live stream Operator 2023 Live stream Skate Canada competitions. Global — Internship 2023 Scheduling and conducting interviews, attending press conferences, and working on TV and Radio stories. This internship also allowed me to work as an editor for visual content. Vista Radio – Internship November 2022 – December 2022 Programming, hosting, made segments to go on air, created news casts, also made and published media content for 91.7 Coast FM. Finally, participated in two on location days with 98.9 Jet FM and 89.7 Juice FM. Shaw Spotlight — Producer/Editor September 2017 – August 2022 Filming, editing, scheduling and conducting interviews for features and community access content for Shaw Spotlight Port Alberni. ZattZoo Association — Producer/Editor 2019 – PRESENT Creating highlight and timelapse videos to promote their annual Battle of The Bands and Five Acre Shaker. Alberni Drug and Alcohol Prevention Service — Producer/Editor 2021 – 2022 Created a naloxone training video and a commercial for their teen safe zone pop-up. Alberni Teens Can Rock — Media Content Creator 2017 – 2019 Created Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube content for Stranger Than Fiction and Sturdy Lemon to help promote themselves and their music.
